01 Day : Arrival in Delhi
On arrival at Delhi at international Airport you will be welcomed by our representative then transfer to the hotel where we hold the room on ready occupancy basis. If time permits you can visit Red Fort to enjoy the Light and Sound show. Return to the hotel for overnight stay at Delhi.
02 Day : Delhi -Kalka (By Train)
After breakfast take sightseeing tour of historic city visiting Old Delhi visiting the majestic Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, both built by emperor Shah Jahan of Taj Mahal fame, Rajghat - memorial of Mahatma Gandhi & a Rickshaw ride past through the silver street in Chandani Chowk, the city tour continues covering New Delhi, visiting Rashtrapati Bhawan, one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; the Laxmi Narayan Temple, built by the Birlas, one of India’s leading industrial families; Humayun’s Tomb, lotus shaped Bhai’s Temple , Qutub Minar , built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty; After dinner check out & transfer to New Delhi railway station to board the late evening train for Kalka. Overnight at the board.
03 Day : Kalka - Shimla (By toy train)
On arrival in Kalka early morning board connecting toy train departs to Shimla at 0530 hours. The rail route indeed, possesses 107 tunnels but the train passes through 103 tunnels, big and small. The toy trains cross the longest tunnel at Barog in 3 minutes. Besides the Barog tunnel, other 3 big tunnels on this route are Koti - 2,276 feet, Taradevi - 1,615 feet and Tunnel no. 103 - 1,135 feet. The train acquires up a moderate average speed of 25-30 km throughout its passage bestowing its travelers to luxuriate in the full splendour of the picturesque valley. Arrival in Shimla at 1015 hours. On arrival in Shimla transfer to the hotel. Evening visit famous mall road & shop there. Overnight at hotel.
04 Day : Shimla
Morning you depart for the winter sports capital - Kufri 16 kms from Shimla, where you can photograph yourself in Pahari or Himachali outfit, available on hire. You can also enjoy horse riding or Yak riding. (On own) Afternoon proceed to Naldhera, which is famous for its Golf Course & scenic beauty. On a clear day you can also view the Kailash Ranges. Later in the afternoon visit the famous Mall Road, which still has some building built in the British Style. Evening will be at your leisure. Overnight stay at Shimla.
05 Day : Shimla- Mashobra: (25 kms 1 hour)
After breakfast drive to Mashobra, on arrival transfer to the hotel. Rest of the free for leisure and exploring the nature. Overnight at the hotel.
06 Day: Mashobra- Manali: (270 kms 8-9 hours)
After breakfast drive to Manali, en route visit to Kullu to visit shawl factory, later visit to Manikaran hot spring water. Continue to precede Manali, on arrival transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at Manali.
07 Day : Manali
After breakfast visit the Jagatsukh Gayatridevi Mandir and Nagar Art Gallery. Later in the afternoon you visit the Hadimba Temple, Manu Mandir & Vashist Kund and Tibetan Monastery. Evening at leisure or stroll on the Mall Road for shopping (on own). Overnight stay at Manali.
08 Day : Manali- Jispa (145 kms 7- 8 hours)
Today morning after breakfast drive to Jispa, This high altitude road beyond the great Himalayan range, connects the densely fertile and green Kullu valley to the stark barren region of Ladakh. The drive starts at Manali slowly winding up mountain roads till Rohtang Pass at 3,950 Mts., which connects the Kullu to the Lahaul valley. On entering the Lahaul valley we see a distinct change with the Hindu influence being replaced with the Buddhist religion. We reach Jispa by late afternoon. Overnight in deluxe tents.
09 Day : Jispa - Sarchu (80 Kms - 4 Hours)
After breakfast start to drive over the scenic Baralacha Pass (4880 Mts.). Plenty of stops to capture the scenic grandeur of this majestic landscape dotted with snow capped peaks and high altitude lakes. After crossing the pass drop down to the vast Sarchu plains at an altitude of 4200 Mts. Overnight in deluxe tents.
10 Day : Sarchu - Leh (263 kms / 9 hours)
Today morning after breakfast drive to Leh. On arrival rest of the evening free to enable yourselves to acclimatize to the rarefied air at the high altitude. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
11 Day : Leh
After breakfast take you for full day excursion of Thiksey Monastery. It is better to visit early morning to see sunrise and praying ceremony. Also visit Hemis Monastery which is one of the biggest in this region. While returning to Leh visit Shey Palace. Packed lunch will be provided. In the evening return to the hotel for dinner & overnight.
12 Day : Leh (Khardung La Pass - 43 Kms. )
After breakfast drive to Khardung la, the highest motorable road in the world at 5600 meters. The views from the top of the pass are amazing. This road carries on to the Nubra Valley. Return to the hotel for hot lunch. After lunch we take you for a tour of Leh city visiting Sangkar, Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
13 Day : Leh - Delhi (By air)
Early morning after breakfast drive to the airport to board the morning flight for Delhi Assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at Delhi.
14 Day : Delhi : Hometown (By Air)
The day is free for leisure and individual activities. Later transfer to the international airport to board the scheduled flight for home country. On departure the tour concludes with happy memories.
