Day 01 - Chennai
Upon arrival at Madras Station / Airport. Madras, once a fishing village is now a sprawling metropolis and the capital of Tamil Nadu. Afternoon proceed for Half day city tour of Visit St. Thomas Cathedral Basilica, Kapaleshwara Temple and the market. Over at Hotel
Day 02 - Chennai - Tirupathi - Chennai (152 Kms/3 Hrs )
After breakfast the day is for excursion to Tirupathi. Tirupathi is famous for the temple of Lord Venkateshwara located on the top of the 860mts high Tirumala hills. The temple of is not only believed to be amongst the oldest temples in the country, but also the richest of them all. Return to Chennai for overnight stay in hotel
Day 03 - Chennai - (70Km ) - Kanchipuram -(70 Km)- Mahabalipuram
After breakfast drive to Mahabalipuram enroute visit Kanchipuram-the ancient capital of the Pallavas famous as a city of 1000 Temples. The first temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Also worth visiting are the Temples of Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy. Kanchipuram is also famous for its silks. In the afternoon drive to Mahabalipuram. Breathtakingly real and artistic impressions of beauty and harmony, Mahabalipuram attracts tourists, due to its monumental splendor and sunny beaches. The visit is a spiritual refresher, with many artistic and period style temple displays representing various dynasties. Visit to the famous seven pagodas. Over night stay at Mahabalipuram.
Day 04 - Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry (115/02 Hrs approx)
After breakfast drive to Pondicherry, Check in at the hotel. Visit Aurbindo Ashram, which is 10kms north of Pondicherry. This ashram promotes Aurbindos ideas in bringing about a synthesis of Yoga and modern science, so as to unite the material and soul. Later go on for a visit to Auroville - a unique experiment in international living and in creating a new environment where men and women of all nationalities live together in harmony. Return to hotel and overnight stay .
Day 05 - Pondicherry - (140 Km ) - Chidambaram - Pondicherry
After early morning break fast we drive through the tropical mountains to Chidambaram. Chidambaram lies on the north edge of the Coleroon River. In Chidambaram we visit the Natraja Temple that is dedicated to the dancing Lord Shiva, a famous Hindu deity of the Chola Kings. Over night at Pondicherry
Day 06- Pondicherry - Chennai (180 Km)
After breakfast transfer to Chennai to board train/ flight for onward journey.
